I enjoy squirreling around in the woods, searching for little bits of colonial history. Hit a new spot today. After digging six ox shoes ( a personal best), and assorted other types of garbage, I managed to find this intact shoe buckle. I love finding shoe buckles, especially when they are in one piece. Thanks for taking a look. HH.

Congrats on the nice buckle.

Man I love seeing those in the dirt. My first couple were literally in the middle of nowhere searching the edges of historic rivers. Getting that 80+ signal in the dirt is such a great sound. Nice one bud

Now if a person was to dig a shoe buckle this great looking one would be the one for sure. Congrats!

Great shoe buckle! I'm with you, SM. I love meandering the woods following stone walls and looking for Colonial finds. They can be few and far between but man something like an intact Colonial shoe buckle will make your day. Nice find fellow MA hunter!

Great find!

That old relic is sure a cool old piece of history. Very nice condition. You did well to not damage it in your recovery too. Congrats on a really cool old find.:headbang:

Now that's a beautiful buckle! That's the way to do it!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! I guess its time to head back into the woods...HH.
