Every once in a while I find a silver ring which come in just like a zinc penny. Here's one from today. It's ring 117.

Also pictured are three rings from last weekend. The small one in front is silver.

Then there's a ships wheel pendant or? that says Florida. It's not worth anything but it was an unusual find I thought.

Love the silver ring you dug today! :hello2: Interesting that the Florida ship's wheel made it here to California. HAVE FUN! :icon_thumright: Andi

Nice rings, they are always exciting to find, I like that pendant too.

Nice silver. Zinc, like pulltabs, must dig. My IH penny came up zinc.

I'm looking forward to my first ring, or any jewelry. I'm really becoming a fan of "relics", like your ship pendant. Thanks for sharing.

I was born in Phoenix 9/16/61 and lived in Glendale until I was 1 1/2. I remember burying a bunch of Silver Quarters, and a large gold ring. Let me know if you find them for me. :-)

I love digging zinc that turns out to be silver or really big gold ! Congrats

Nice finds Fix. Thanks for sharing...

Here's my latest zinc penny. 1871 half dime that reads exactly the same on the VDI.

I -almost- didn't dig a 'zinc penny' on the beach, some years ago. Got there at 4:00am, and two guys had been hunting all night leaving holes and trash everywhere. The 'zinc penny' target was only my 3rd target that the other guys missed-- 3rd one in 45 minutes of hunting, so I decided to dig it up anyway. Turned out to be a stainless steel Rolex Submariner in excellent shape and working condition!!! My best find so far, in 17+ years of hunting! Gotta dig the zinc!

I didn't know big gold came in so high. I'll get more excited now when I think it's an aluminum can.

Great stories and pics guys. Keep 'em coming!

I'm thinking the ship's wheel is a keychain fob, probably not a pendant.

Love the rings.Still have yet to find one.Congrats on your finds.
