Went to go and water some plants on the front porch. Looked up and saw this guy staring at me. Showed it to my wife and she about blew a gasket! Went back to try and pull him out but he has disappeared. Guess we won't be on the front porch this evening :laughing7: rat snake 001.webprat snake 002.webprat snake 003.webp

HA! Not that I know of! Should have deleted one of the pics before upload. All I can say Wade, Is that is probably the skinniest yellow rat snake for it's length that I've ever caught. I did release it unharmed.

Those Lil rat snakes are not the ones that she'll have to worry about here in SC

We have rattler's, water snakes etc. here, just rarely see them.

It will keep the rodent population down, maybe your wife too :laughing7:. Pretty cool little guy, I'm curious how he got there???

If you did not eat him with a side of grits then you aint a real southerner.:laughing7:

Dude! That's EXACTLY what I do! :laughing7: :occasion14:

I love grits! A little salt, pepper and butter, or gravy, yum!

I found a small limb off a longleaf pine in my backyard that looked just like a small rattler. Took it in the kitchen by the "tail" twisting it just enough to make it look like it was moving. Well, "it" about got me and I dropped it right at her feet. Priceless! Got her ass back for jumping out of the dark when I come in the house.
