To me anyways!! There's nothing like seeing the silver rim of a coin in a plug, had that happen 3 times this evening. I started off in an old park for a couple of hours this morning and was able to pull a wheat, rosie, a dollar coin and a funkie oriental coin of some sort before having to head to the house to get some things done. Later in the evening I headed over to an old high school that has been producing over the years. Perfect hunting condition, cool breeze, shade and soft ground. The second target was another rosie, deep, I ended up digging a second plug, low and behold, I see the rim of silver
I make 4 more passes and get a broken high tone but the numbers were good enough to investigate. It pinpointed nice but was off center, usually a coin on edge. I cut the plug and there it is, almost straight up and down about 6" deep, another silver rim, sweet!! 1918 merc. The last good target, was choppy with a mixed high tone with an iron growl, but, I would get a good VDI every 2 or 3rd pass. Another deep plug and there it is, another silver rim. It was getting late and time to call it a day. I ended up with 2-rosies, 2-mercs, 1-dollar coin, 1-oriental coin and a tiny Budda.
