Here is a coin that was tap'd out using a jeweler's hammer - doesn't the coin's outer edge (not ring) resemble your coin?

That was a good re find! I was doing the laundry the other day and found a silver GW quarter in the dryer, must have dropped I in the dirty clothes bin, funny.
