I found this in a hole I dug this morning while metal detecting. It did not cause the signal. I try desperately to avoid the pareidolia, “little boy who cried ROCK” thing. This is thin, looks to have 2 worked edges. I thought possibly a small, thumb scraper, or possibly a chunk of decent debitage.
It looked like reddish jasper in situ. Now it looks more like a pinkish granite or chalcedony. Please LMK. If it’s a rock, I can take it. I’ve been wrong before.😊. Thanks!

Looks like a reduction piece. That’s where you want to look in the future.
 

Yep a good flake as far as I can see, sometimes they have small removals you can see with the right light angle, making a flake knife but I can’t see anything like that from the pics
