Hi another newbie here Im in orange county ,nc in the little town of mebane anyone looking for a pair of hunting buddies my husband and I are eager to learn.We have a discovery 2000.Or if anyone could suggest some good sites we'd realy appreciate it .Thanks for looking.

Hi lilpixie! Welcome to the addicting world of metal detecting! You may want to investigate Hillsborough as it has lots of history and you are not far away. I am in Johnston Co. but I once lived in Carrboro so I know your area. Knock on some doors and hunt the fields near old home places. You gotta find some good stuff up there. HH!
