Oriental tins

These 2 small tins were dug on Maui , the bigger one cannot open yet, it was super encrusted. Any ideas , thanks.

Soak it in mineral oil then try again. Not too long just enough to live it some.

Tins are cool! Maybe somebody will recognize the language and know what it reads. I'm thinking Japanese but no expert here. Could you shoot a pic with something for size reference?
