I can't help you on the ID but it's still a nice find.

Neat find, maybe a decor for a keyhole or a dresser drawer? HH, Mike

That's what I was thinking Mike......HH!!

I think it might of been a hair barrett or a pin. Any sign of an attachment on the back?

I Was Thinking The Same Thing Or Maybe a Belt Buckle for a Womans Dress. trk5capt...

Depending on the weight of the piece ,I would say it's between a broach or a buckle of some type....Hope this helps....nice find... ;D Seeker

Don't kniow what it was, but it's a col find! Looks lite a great hunting spot. Great stuff!

Neat find, Cheese. Is it fragile or heavy?

It's not terribly fragile, probably close to the weight of a half dollar. It does look like it may possibly have had something attatched to it on the back at either side of the center, behind the circular spots. The little bumps that it's made of appear to be faceted a little, like maybe it was gilded or painted like jewels?? Here's a pic of the back side.

maybe an old broach piece, not sure though, good find

Beautiful site to hunt...I think the piece is for the hair too. Hope you find lots there!

Not a clue here as to what it is, but it's a nice looking piece, WTG!!!
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Thanks for the input here...I think so far I'm going to go with the hair clip idea. I think that fits best so far. More ideas are welcome though! ;)
