We have a great Facebook group, for metal detecting, in Northern Utah. One gentleman posted a request for assistance to locate a "historic site". Although I showed interest, I informed him of the limits of metal detectors in general. He had already purchased a Garrett ATX Extreme Pulse Induction. He's an archeologist from the Dept of Reclamation.
When my wife and I arrived, he informed us that he was trying to find the remains of an indian. It appears "she" was of some importance. He wants to find her before they widen the road, next to where she's presumably buried. We searched for a couple of hours and only found a modern nail. Regardless, it was exciting to hunt for a good cause!
