"Ovate Knife" 1000's of Years Old.....Any Better ID Possible?

A beginning collector asked me to identify this artifact he recently purchased. No other info available. Best I can do is "Ovate Knife" or 'Blade'.....and "thousands of years" old.
It does not have the rounded base of an Adena; looks too wide for a Nodena; the two worked, pointed ends don't seem to match up with any typology I can find.

I have not seen this piece in person - can anyone give me a better ID to pass on to this new enthusiast? Thanks!

Looks like Edwards Plateau Chert from where I’m sitting...
 

Usually called "early ovoid knife" and they are usually paleo. Gary
 

Just now told it originated in Oregon.
