My sweetie and I, worried that Foxwoods is soon to remove the half dollar coin slots, did something we rarely do- went twice in one week to the casino to silver search.
I will preface this by saying that for whatever reason, I ALWAYS find more silver than Jeanette. I have found our only franklin, our only Liberty Walking, and most of the 64's. She still loves it, but I always felt a little bit bad... but that all changed Saturday night/ sun AM.
After about two hours and only 10 halves (no 90%ers) we each get 10 rolls from the counter and sit down at two slots to deposit our rejects. We each open three rolls, with no white rims, when i hear a gasp... "oh my god." I look over at the roll in her hand, and see SEVEN beautiful white rings. But that was not all. When we looked at them, FIVE were walking Libs and 2 were 1964's. I could not believe it, as we had NEVER found more than three silvers in one roll, and rarely find two.
Well, we finished off our buckets and she ended up with 19 walking liberty, about 5 1964's, and probably 10 65-69 (we put them all into the same container, so those are guesses. But we sure as spit counted the Walkers
) I found NO SILVER.
So I feel wonderful now, and if she did not have the 'silver bug' before, she has it now. We thoroughly exhausted the same counter the rest of the night, and found 2 more L.W.s and a bunch more 64-69s. TOTALS FOR THE NIGHT WERE:
21 Liberty Walking
1 Benji
8 64's (a few would grade pretty well...)
37 65- 69s
Equaling a cool $215 worth of silver.
(I think that she will be joining the forum soon...
