Just wanted to share this recent revelation. I live in a small town, and we have a Treasure Hunting Club with quite a few members. The oldest park in town is also the location of our "Annual Hunt".... So I naturally thought to avoid it. After all, it has been hunted to DEATH...right?
Well, I spent 3 hours there Saturday and hunted about 1/5 of the "penny" field used in this years hunt.... I walked away with 18 wheat cents, and 5 Indian Heads.... One of which looks like it was not just planted yesterday (it was 5 inches deep) I also found one of the wheats in an area outside of the hunting area...and several of the wheats look like they have been there a number of years..... So, I am not telling anyone else in the club what I discovered..and next weekend I am HITTING THE SILVER FIELD!
I learned my lesson NOT to assume a park is Hunted Out!
