I haven't been on this board for quite a while, but i must say ever since i've gotten into nickels i cant stop. Im pulling out more buffalos than i ever thought i would, and im putting to good use the nic-a-date i bought after my first buff. Up till yesterday by buff total was actually higher than my war, today it stands at 8 to 9. I have yet to find a buff i didn't need nic-a-date for and they always turn out to be from the teens or 20's, i have to find a 30'. As for pennies the most notable find was a VDB penny.

The dates for the buffs are: 1916,1925,1915,1920,1913(version 1)*2,1923,1919

one of the 1913's looks as if someone also had tried to bring out the date but damaged the coin. I was unable to bring out the date but the raised ground on the back is enough proof.
Has anyone here ever encountered a buff with a date that did not come out with nic-a-date? just a thought.

Yes I have came across nickels that cannot be brought back to life, but not a whole lot of them they have to be heavely worn, the date will show up on most of them. Good Luck hunting for the wild Buffs they are fun to find. Dennis.

Got a handful of them. I spend them now and then just to see if anyone notices.
