Packing a metal detector for airline travel

We will be vacationing shortly and are taking the detectors with us.

I have then packed / padded in a hard side case, and plan to check them thru

Any concerns about screening asnd flags that will be raised thru the baggsage check process, in this era of tignted security ?

Any tips on what to do, or not to do ??
