I'm not sure if this is a early Clovis or a Plano. There is just the slightest hint of a flute. From what I have been able to find out some the early Clovis points had minimal or in some cases no flute. I found this in southwest Iowa.

Cool find. I have so much to learn. I didn't think the flaking was correct for clovis. I'm only trying to learn not even saying it's not clovis. I'm looking up plano now.
Would anyone say it is a well worn point?
Thanks 4 posting.

Probably more dalton era. Still a great find

A keeper for sure!

Thats a keeper for sure. I like it!

I agree with Garscale. Dalton looking to me too. Gary

I'm thinking that this area has had occupation spanning several different era's. I have found a couple other points a large axe head and several scrapers in this area. There are also a lot of artifacts found in the river just down the hill. I need to get a better understanding of how natives selected where to build camps and pull up some old maps and try to dial in on the best spot to focus on.

Here is the axe head and a blade that was found in the same area
