Palm Bay info needed

In November my wife and I will be visiting my sister and her husband in Palm Bay Brevard County. I plan on bringing my metal detector with me. My questions are :
Are there places to metal detect along the Indian river in Palm Bay and is it legal ?
Is it legal to MD on the ocean beaches ?
I’ve read that Brevard County does not permit MDing at County parks , is this true ?
Any other info is greatly appreciated.

The river along Palm Bay is not worth the effort, plus its mostly private property. Beaches are wide open from High tide line to low tide line, stay off the dunes and turtle nest. County parks are open on the beach.
