Last Saturday it was almost 90 degrees in San Francisco, today it was a lot more comfortable at 65. I continued hunting my way down the median strip where I left off from last weekend. 30 minutes into my hunt I get a solid coin hit on my CZ6, checked the depth, and get a reading of 7 inches. To my surprise out pops a 1927-S mercury dime!

3 hours later I get another mercury at 6 inches! :icon_thumright:

I put in 6 hours today on my 7th Saturday in a row working this 2 mile long strip. I should finish my first pass through it next weekend. I added another 3 wheat pennies today and a total of about more 100 coins:icon_thumleft:

Totals from the median:

41 wheat cents
2 silver Roosevelt dimes
9 Mercury dimes
1 Buffalo Nickel
1 Silver Quarter (1948)
4 silver rings
1 silver earring
a little over 500 coins
Almost 100 tokens

Congrats on the silver and other nice finds

Way to go CHF. Nice silvers. I still use my CZ 5 on 90 % of my hunts.

CHF,

Good going on the silvers....when you finish the strip start from the other end and cover the same area go slow, do overlaps and you'll be surprised at what was missed.

When you get a weak signal swing the coil over it from different angles as sometimes the coins, etc will be on edge or at an angle and won't come through very solid but only from certain directions and good luck.

Regards + HH

Bill

median strips give up some pretty cool things. I am seeing a pattern among some of our members. them median strips are in trouble if it holds true. Congrats!

Congrats, that's a sweet spot you have there, nice easy swinging and accessible. Good work and keep at it your doing good.

Who woulda know 2 silvers where in there right? ID give another shot there but now swing from another direction you did just to be sure its clean ! Gratz !

Looks like you have your own little piggy bank.
