We are taking a trip to San Diego for a week in April. We have the metal detecting thing covered ,devoting half a day to it . What I am wondering we would like to try our hand panning for gold . Any suggestions where we could go that is not private land or have a claim? We occasionaly pan here in Wisconsin in a creek , but there are no claims we have to worry about ,just private land.
