I spent two and a half hours in a small park I haven't hunted in 7-8 years and dug 77 coins with a face value of $12.90, a sterling silver ring, and a junk ring. This was an almost non stop "digfest" but worth the effort. The clad pics are before and after cleaning. Good number of quarters and a dollar coin helped the face value.
Good workout there, How do you clean your clad?

That is a lot of digging but looks like quarters make up the lion's share. Too bad we don't have the 1 and 2 euro coins here.

Thanks Evan.......Cleaning is a two step process. First, I tumble the coins for 35-40 minutes using aquarium gravel, water, and a small amount of dish soap to get the dirt off them. Then I put the coins in a plastic bottle with a pasty solution of salt and vinegar and shake them for 3-4 minutes. After shaking, I rinse the coins and then tumble them again for 90 minutes and the result is what you see here.

It would be nice if we discontinued the paper dollar and only made the dollar and two-dollar coins like Canada does.
