Another fun 3.5 hours in the park. Probably 2/3 complete now.

£10.52 ($21) spendable including my first £2 coin (like finding a $4 coin!)

1891 Halfpenny

Silver fob watch chain (12.52g) - Deep iffy signal which I always dig.

Favourite find of the day a 1884 Canadian One Cent (at 7inches). ;D I know its holed but it probably would have never been lost unless someone thought it nice enough to wear. Lovely colour to it. Just interested, is it a rare date?

Happy Hunting.

Holy crap, at the rate you are going ($20/day), you could purchase another detector in a few more days. :D

I hope 2008 treats you well! Go get that Roman gold! :)

Well $20 in 3.5 hours is half a day. I really wouldn't want any other detector than the one I have. I know its every squeak ;D

The Roman Gold is still in my 5 year plan 8)

that canadian 1 c is beautiful. What is the top left coin in the first pic? silver?

You have more patience than me I couldn't do with digging up all that modern coinage, I have a nice park near were I live dating back to early Georgian times but I never bother. Do you get any grief from the authorities digging in parks. :-\

No bylaw's against it in my area.

I never used to bother with parks but desperate times call for desperate measures. I do have loads of patience as its not the modern coinage that bothers me it the 100+ ring pulls.

Well done on the 2 quid bit! I love finding spendables, keeps me in AA batteries and Mars bars!!! ;D

Nice finds Crusader, you had some fun! HH, Mike

nice finds,
i like doing parks.
got a hammered coin from one.
ringpulls and canslaw are a nightmare though.

that is quite a haul for 3.5 hours digging. I get very few pulltabs but tons of sinkers. and since I'm also a fisherman they don't go to waste. I just consider them a byproduct.

Me too, I fish & use the weights all the time.
