Went out for an afternoon hunt with Tnet member Joe-Bro and we decided to hit the far northern edge of the park. We found an old dump area with lots of trash and old cork bottle pieces. The old beer can tops were everywhere so we had to go slow. Joe popped out a 1947 Rosie and I got on a few smoked wheaties, a SLQ with no date but it’s a type 2 or 3 judging by the star pattern and a 1943 -S war nickel. We will be heading back because we did stumble across a few foundations but we ran out of light and I had to pick up my son.
Good luck out there and happy hunting!!

Hi, nice finds. Congrats:icon_thumleft:

Nice silver saves Bob. You could be on some good ground. Can’t wait to see what else you can pull out. Good luck.

Nice job on the silvers Bob. Always like those Standing Libs.

Very nice! SLQ's are my favorite silver to find...and the toughest. In all the years I've been hunting, I think I have only a couple that have a readable date. I bet you find some more goodies out of there!

Nice job Joe! The SLQ is a great coin to find!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Awesome silver coins! Congratulations.

I too really like those SLQs, JoeDirt. Just wish I could find a few hundred more of them.

Nice work Joe

Dang! I want to stumble on an SLQ in a local park haha. Nice going JD!

That SLQuarter and War Nickel go nicely together! :icon_thumright:

sweet SLQ, great job at even finding that stuff. I call spots like that mine fields of trash but it is in those that treasures remain hidden

Nice SLQ and war nick! Congrats! :icon_thumright: The SLQ is high on my bucket list. I've found Barbers and silver Washington's but the SLQ is eluding me!

nice!! love those standing liberty quarters!!
