That is one hell of a marble collection. There are some incredible colours among those.

Great Job

God bless

Hey Jon,

That one there could be worth a fortune ;D

Nice collection.

God bless
Peter

I use to have about a dozen agate marbles but lost them in various moves over the years. They were beautiful natural patterns too. I always pick up any marbles I find, usually around a house demolition site. Monty

I have found 4 marbles so far, but nothing like this nice collection.

Congratulations,

I have been searching the flea markets for agate marbles with no luck. They use to be common when I was a kid, but I guess the quit making them? Monty

Great marble collection Rich. I always pick up marbles when MDing, too. I haven't found many, but I have found a few nice ones. Well, I should say they are nice in my opinion. Don't know if they have any value, but they are "valuable" to me in memories alone.

Jon43, that's a nice bunch of marbles, too.

That's it. It's the fun you have and the memorys you make with your hunting buddie, if you have one.. Took me maybe 7 years to get them, one by one..But when you spot one ... :o

I did a little research and apparently they did stop making agate marbles several years ago. One such sold for $3,000.00 recently! Just info for anyone who wondered if they are worth anything. Monty

Must have been a fine example. As with most collections, condition is everything..

Fantastic Collection! The best part is your response to a post in which you said "It's The Fun you have and the memories you make" I agree with you 100% THAT'S WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!

City, or homestead construction sites, after a rain, to knock off the dirt.. Took me about 10 years of picking them up one by one.. I remember being out there in the pouring rain and a poncho ::) The old clay ones are my favorites... ;D

Check Ebay. I sold an Onion Skin on there for $260 plus some pontil marked ones for 20-40 bucks a pop.
