I found this at the base of a sand/clay cliff. My best guess is a part of a trilobite fossil. I would be interested to hear what anyone else thinks. Also, this fossil is soft and fragile. Any suggestions on how to preserve it would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

If it was found in the US then it is not Woolly, but Colombian mammoth. Nice find and I would visit the cliff area again. I have several of them ranging from baby mammoth spit teeth to full adult teeth.
As far as what to do to it to stabilize it. There is a product from Paleobond that can help you.
