Went back to the party beach today. hunted about a hour in the wet sand got 8 quarters 5 dimes 31 penny's but no nickels. could I be missing silver also??

Only if your coil does'nt swing over it. You might be missing gold though if your missing nickels.

East Beach?
If you're finding clad like that in the wet sand you may be passing over some gold rings. Dig everything where you find pockets of clad!!!
