DEMOPOLIS, Ala., May 31-- Aided by old papers his father left him, Gayus Whitfield of Middleboro, Ky., today unearthed buried gold valued at more than $200,000 on the Whitfield farm near here. The discovery of the treasure came as the result of a search which began on Saturday, May 22

I'm always happy for the people that find MONEY ! Can you imagine how much $ is
just sitting in the ground buried and waiting for the right Bleep ( ha ha, I really do mean Beep ) to come along?

How cool is that, right there in my home town, but way before my time. I plan to do some detecting at my old home in Demopolis and in nearby Linden in a few months time.
 
Is your ground also frozen. I have a new Garret Ace 350 begging to be used and all I can do is try to find sites to hunt. I am an old man living in Arkansas so I am also trying to get able to getup and down.
