Past two weeks finds, Bullets, Buttons, and my first Large Cent!!! Returned dog tags!
Here are my finds from the past two weeks of evening hunts after work. I found 10 bullets, 11 buttons, two eagle buttons and one was flattened maybe into a poker or checker piece. All of the bullets, cw eagle buttons and the old knife was found in Winchester and everything else was found at the property in Boyce. Anybody know what the Elk thing maybe, its iron on the back but brass on the front. Also what kind of bullet are these, it looks like a Sharp but could it be a Gardener? Two of them had small holes that a toothpick would fit into inside the cavity? They were found in Winchester with Spencers, Burnsides, and Colts nearby. Last Saturday after work i found my first Large Cent, 1817!!! It has the edges hammered flat so its octagon shaped? It was found near a CW site, could a solider had done that out of bordem? Thanks for any help on my questions and Happy hunting.
Ryan.
