✅ SOLVED Patented 1900 ...object unknown

Found this in the woods...(near an old school and jail) in an area where i have been finding stuff from the late 1800's. On each of the three small circular areas its stamped "patented 1900".

WOW..I would have never guessed that either. I scoured the internet and couldn't find anything. Thanks so much mojjax. Now I wonder what that was used for.

This is the 3way swivel of a suspender set....cords ran through the swivels to enhance your movement ange...made by "President" suspender Company of Shirley, Mass. Some buckles say "President" some say "Shirley President", but the sets all had that 3way swivel (only one) that was were the two suspender straps become one around the low back of the wearer.

I dug one of those exact same pieces when I first started digging, then someone either swiped it or I lost it shortly there after. Oh well, nice find!
