The wife and I are not hitting the yard sales very hard these days as we try to clear out existing inventory and make space for new stuff. However, I saw a listing for a warehouse sale. I have usually done pretty well with these so we went to that and then hit the nearby flea market after. I picked up a couple of things.
Below is a Chipper Jones figurine I found at the flea market. The box is missing but the piece itself is in perfect condition. I don't usually buy recently produced stuff like this. However, Jones recently retired and will almost certainly be a first ballot Hall of Fame inductee. That is why I even gave this a second look. When I saw that this is a numbered, limited edition I thought it might have potential. The asking price was only $3 so I snapped it up. There are other Legends of "The Diamond" pieces Chipper Jones pieces that have sold on ebay. They bring $10 - $20 but I didn't find any of these limited addition pieces. I may sit on this until he gets to the Hall of Fame when the prices may go up significantly. Maybe I can find the box in the meantime.

Maybe my best score was the packing peanuts below. I picked these up at the warehouse sale for $2 a bag. I was running short of peanuts so these came along at just the right time. To buy these retail would probably cost at least $50.

I also picked up a nice Vivitar tripod (sorry no pics yet) for $5 at an estate sale on the way home. I will give that to my daughter who is becoming a pretty good photographer.
