Another beautiful day in light rain and strong wind!
Now further away from the main scatter, but still in the middle of a 60 acre field finds were sparse and more modern stuff turned up.
I had only two coins today but the the bronze to silver ratio is ok. :laughing7:

Roman Denarius of Augustus 2BC-4AD, pierced to wear as jewelry.

Bronze thingy from day4. Unsure what it can be, weird iron age bracelet or early medieval spur?

Todays other stuff not included the loads of foil and pulltabs....

Very good hunt, congrats! :occasion14:

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Good to get an early Silver. Funny how many times they are on the edge of the scattter!
Hope you gridded that site well?

The hole really gives character to that denarius ! It appears to have been worn for some time too.

That holed roman coin is a beauty!

It feels like there is more silver on the edge than bronze. :dontknow:
The main site is gridded both directions, top to bottom of the field finished, more work to the sides to do. One side still has green manure on it. That will be the interesting part as the roman scatter extends to that side.

Maybe finished until the next plow job! :laughing7: Then the next crop will come in.

Amazing finds what a great day. I would build a hot on that spot and hunt for months. Thanks for sharing my friend. Tommy
