Got out on my bike this morning. The temperature early this morning was 47 degrees, but it warmed up rather nice for a nice Sunday morning bike ride on the bike paths, which I'm very happy Boulder County put forth years ago, rather than allow all of it to be developed. It give me a little peace to enjoy what nature can exist and a few remnants of history that can still be found.

It was 47° when I got up about 4:30 this morning. A bit overcast this day and rain two nights in a row. Won't be long now we'll see the frost in the mornings and sunny warm Indian summer afternoons. The cottonwoods are beginning to turn and I'm sure there's plenty of aspens changing color in the higher elevations

Thank you Bill-B. It's not the most spectacular outdoor destination, but a rather nice bit of undisturbed open land to get a little dose of nature within this heavily populated Interstate 25 cordor from Fort Collins to Pueblo, Colorado. Not many do enjoy the open-spaces, especially on the weekdays. I've seen bald eagles, several birds of prey, coyote, snapping turtles, lots of migratory water fowl and other birds, deer, raccoons, skunks and only tracks of mountain lion, which must sneak around from time to time as they have been sighted before.
