Any one have a Idea what a full linclon penny book is worth? Went to bank today and one of the tellers told me she sold her dads coin collection about 75 morgans plus some other coins she got 901.00 she showed me the the invoice the guy paid her 13.45 each for the Morgans don t know if that was fair no cc s anyway I told her get a price on the books and I pay 5% over the dealers price What do think?

Might be a good deal! Depends on what they offer. Dealers only care about the key dates and their offer will be based on them. If I could get a set for 5% above dealer offer I would get it if the key dates are nice and real. They are frequently counterfeited...

Her Dad died at 83 and the collection was just found in a old suit case I ll look close.

It is worth whatever you can get someone to pay for it really. Ever hear about the guy on the Titanic who was awoke by the commotion and was annoyed and rolled over placing his pillow on his head?

I got $13.00 for a smooth Morgan several months ago. I would think dealers would be willing to pay $15.00 at least, for good condition Morgans.

I think he was cheap on the morgans. So he will probably be a little cheap on the pennies too. that makes yor offer a decent one, and not overpaying.

Which book is it though? 1909 - 1940 or 1940 - 1974? Or not a Whitman's and some other years? Obviously that makes a difference.

And if it is the 1909 starting book, the only real coin you need to look for is the 1909S VDB. If that is there, it is worth MUCH. If not, then not near as much.
