Penny with odd rim

Found this while searching a bucket of cents. Looks like 2007, the rim is rounded and steel color. Any thoughts on this?

the 'steel' color is the zinc core of the coin. (modern pennies are only copper plated) it is most likely rounded from rolling around in a clothes dryer for a long long time
