Kinda excited and curious about this find . I'm still new to all this civil war relic hunting but I was wondering if this is actually a percussion cap that has been fired?????:icon_scratch: looking at other pics online it sort of looks like one but what I have looks to have been blown to to pieces at some point in time. There is no markings or writing on it and the item I have is apout the size of a penny spread out , copper or brass. Thanks again for any info on this item cap 001.webp , cap 002.webp

Yes, the lead core is missing, all three are correct.

Looks like a hollow point bullet that has impacted something and done what they are supposed to do.
