Petrified wood or bone???

I found this rock in a field the other day looking for arrowheads.. It sure looks like something.. I could be wrong. theres alot of quarts in the area and it kinda looks like it might be quarts.. any ideas? Found it in central North Carolina. Rowan county..

I really can't say myself either.... but it is interesting that both ends are "cut" at about the same angle. If a bone... can you see a marrow line inside the bone? Kind of looks like a piece of antler. But they don't usually last very long due to critters. Sorry...

antler...sure it is petrified?

nice color green..wish i could find that formula for knife handles....

Its most definetly petrified. Either that or just a rock formation of some type... It almost looks like you can see the marrow line but I cant be for sure.. I would have to break it in half to be sure..

no breaking...worry at one end with a wetstone, or sand paper......there should be 'veins' around the outer shell.
