Nice find...could you clarify the hallmarks on the bottom...about all I can make out is the shield one,and cant see the initials inside it...
 

That is a really nice find ! While the 1741 number may be a date , it may also be some kind of production number

however because of the extensive hallmarking extant there, you'll not only be able to date it , but place it rather

accurately as well , and the makers mark will be there also . Argentium.
