Photo's of all 144 buttons found so far at "Button Hill!" Stay tuned for more updates
I'm sure some of you have been following our "button hill" finds that my cousin and I have been making. Thought I would do a shot of just the buttons and the coins so far from this site(will post the other relics later). 144 buttons total have been found by myself and my cousin has also found 144, making that 288 buttons from this site. It's a 30 acre piece of land that we basically stumbled on, without any research. Kinda like playing the lottery...and WINNING.
Buttons that stand out are the 3 military buttons I have so far:
Pewter Wayne's Legion button(with shank)
1812 navy button(with shank)
1790's - 1812 Royal Artillery button(with shank)
Coins include:
2 Draped bust large cents(1800 and 1805)
1818 Matron Head Large cent
Connecticut state copper
178? Spanish 1 Reale
1903 Indian head a couple wheat pennies and a '54 silver rosie(the more modern coins of the bunch)
With one or two more hunts I'm sure my cousin and I will hit 300 or more buttons. Stay tuned...
