PI Info on choice

im going to buy a PI just to hunt the salt water beach waste deep.im looking at the Tesoro Sand Shark or Whites PI Pro..what do you think and why? thanks DD

I use a sandshark here on the west coast can hipmount to keep the weight down it does well just need to remember to slow the swing down a bit to avoid falsing goes deep good signal response. The Tiger Shark may have issues in salt water. Dan

thanks Joe ,iv had 3 Tiger Sharks and they were awsome detectors in fresh water but they didnt like the salt sand too well,they tend to loose depth.thats why i was looking at the Sand Shark or PI Pro.bad thing is little or no discrimination with a PI.

thanks Dan,i didnt know a PI would false at all? but the only PI iv ever used was in fresh water and i know they dont there.i just figure as well made as the Tiger Shark is,the Sand Shark would be a good choice.

...KEEP IT UP JIM AND IL PROB BUY ONE LOL! i had 2 Garrett Sea Hunters and did well with them years ago.only problem they had internal rechargable batt and they got a memory and wouldnt hold a charge.does the Infinium have nimh's?

Dixie digger.....The Infinium has the NiMH rechargerable battery pack & charger . I dont have one all i use is Double AA batterys . I think they call them Extra Accessories...................The only place i have seen them was in Kellycos add.................I see Whites is going to put out a new PI detector but what info.i see on it ...is that it sounds like a copy of the Infinium.....................==Jim==

From what I've read so far, the "new White's" is only for land hunting as is not waterproof (too big and heavy to waterproof at this time). Now, all I've seen posted sure makes it sound alot like the Infinium! Well, the Infinium is here now, waterproof to 200', been tested and proven in the field, and is SUPER DEEP!!!!

The way I see it, you've still got to build one and then PROVE (not hype) its performance under all conditions!!!

Digger.............. the INFINIUM has tone ID............And as it is a water detector you can switch coils ..ear phones ...your self......it is the only water detector that lets you do that ....All the others are hard wired you have to send them back to the Co. to have that done at a price $$$......Well not all true ....J.W.Fishers you can change your own coils on a water detector..... Now that is ..J.W.Fishers.....not Fisher Research Labs..............................==Jim==

Tiger Shark and Sand Shark you can change the coil....just dont know i like the Whites Pi Pro but the Sand Shark lifetime warranty is far better than whites 2 year.and if i buy a used Infinum i have no warranty! dang sure would make it easy if they only made one.LOL!
