Pinpoint button?

Now when I'm pinpointing I have to hold the pinpoint button in. The button doesn't click to activate the pinpointing anymore and then click again to go back to regular detecting. Is the button failing and needs replaced? If so where do I send the detector for repair?

No that is how it works if you want it to stay on and turn off when you push it again .Then go to options top of screen all the way right .Hit options and scroll down last option called pinpoint lock . Gee 120 looks and no answer .sube
