Pinpoint function question

For those of you who have a pinpoint function on your detector- how well does it work? What kind of detector are you using?

PP works great, and when using it and still having a hard time you can come off the target a little and hit PP again, which reduces the size of the target even more giving you a tighter pattern, PP is not really needed , just x your target

Thompy pretty much said it all. I use an MXT and at times hit the pinpoint trigger to reduce the target area covered by the coil. I don't like to hunt parks but finally broke down and did so because I was having trouble pinpointing. If you are lucky enough to find a park or soccer field that hasn't been hit you will get so many hits that you can't help but hone your pinpointing skills. It worked for me so that after about 3 weeks I wasn't even using the pinpointing feature. It takes nothing but practice, practice. After you learn to pinpoint a coin you will then have to face a different situation when you have two coins very close to each other. Good luck.
