Back in the woods at a local park, along side a river, there’s a 75 foot (or so) area where there are 3 or 4 of these pipes sticking out of the ground. What are they? There’s no other sign of utilities at the site. At least one is un-capped and full of sticks and debris.

They are in an area alongside a river. The general area has some ponds and damp areas. On the other side of the river the park borders an asphalt plant. Dunno if that could have something to do with it.
The red x is the area with the pipes. The asphalt plant is due north west from there.

Very possible that they’re Caps to monitor wells. There’s most likely been ground water contamination from the asphalt plant or a RQ spill of a chemical at some point.
if there’s 3 or more of them the people that drilled them were trying to triangulate and follow the contamination direction.
