Pipsico hunt is canceled, actively looking for new site

I really hate to be the person to break this, but Ann is at work till later and I think everyone needs to know right away.

As you all know Ann has been having a bit of an issue with a want to be archie... As of her receiving todays mail he has won the first round and the BSA has notified us we are not welcome at Pipsico to metal detect.
We/ I am pursuing legal routes with this for not only us but the possible future of detecting in VA.

Ann, Ken and myself brainstormed today and have a few places we are working on, plus we will be contacted Ranger Dan at Pipsico about people he knows. There are tons of other places out there to hunt, and Dan knows some landowners out there.

PM me if any of you have any leads for possible sites. We WILL be detecting somewhere, but not at Pipsico.

Sorry to all, but again, WE WILL BE DETECTING SOMEWHERE ON THE SCHEDULED WEEKEND, I CAN PROMISE YOU ALL THAT.

I wish I could help you find a location down there, but it's a bit difficult from Pittsburgh.

I was afraid this was going to happen, I am glad they at least has the courtesy to tell us sooner than later.

I called Dave yesterday to let him know.....I am sending out PM's to all that had an interest and/or have been to the previous two hunts....

So...28-31 March 2008 is STILL ON.....LET THE HUNT BEGIN!!!!!!!!
