Interesting book for reading

I'm nearly through with this book about the Pirate Bannister and the hunt for his ship The Golden Fleece. It's a great read. I wasn't aware that any other Pirate ships had been found other than the Whydah and Blackbeards.

Great book. When I finished it, I went and got a copy of Kurson's other book "Shadow Divers" and that one is even better.

I LOVED shadow divers, and it was the reason I bought Pirate Hunters from him. I still haven't had time to read it yet though.

Shadow Divers got me all fired up to make a trip to Morehead City NC to dive the U-352.

I am so jealous of you right now. Thats one of my bucket list dives. I have a B E A UTIFUL pics of the 352 on the bottom. In fact I bought two of them and gave the other one to my dive shop.

Sorry, my post was unclear. I haven't made the trip yet, planning on doing the dive next summer.

LOL, well, I'm still jealous. I hope you dive it on a day the water is calm and clear!

Yeah, me too. From what I understand the wreck sits in 115 feet fairly close to the gulfstream, so its not too cold. I'm a Florida boy with only a shorty wetsuit.

You've probably seen this pic before, but I have the poster of it. It's like 1x3 foot. Such an amazing photo.

Yes, I have seen that. Its on the Olympus Dive Center website. Here's another good one, this one shows one of the resident sand tigers.

Talk to Lubos Kordac on Golden Fleece. Check out his new book on Roberto Cofresi

I just finished Kurson's Pirate Hunters.
Great story.
I particularly found the description of how John Mattera approached the research & analysis process thought provoking.
I give it an 8.4 on the 10 pointRopesfish Reading Scale.
