IMG_1510.webp So i found this rock, some 13 years ago, on a beach in California... not a highly populated area... I would really like to know what it is.... it is not attracted to a magnet, even a high powered one... it retains heat like a sun of a gun, tried to melt this guy with some heat and its been 10 mins and its still super hot to the touch.. it does not oxidize what so ever under heating conditions, there is also some type of white rock as well as some harder black rock embedded with this thing.. its not super heavy, but not light eitherIMG_1507.webpIMG_1508.webp

it does resemble raw platinum

Platinum nuggets are very rare to find, especially a nugget that size. On this computer screen it does have a look to many of the other images of natural platinum I find. That's all I can say about it.

Welcome to Tnet norcalguy! What did you use to heat it? Looks just like our common fire ring nuggets to me.
