Are you able to read what it says on the back around the edge? Looks like ANTIONE?

In searching for a matching example, I came across a lot of medals with a similar reverse that were listed as Vatican/Papal Medals.

For example: Jencius Coins - Gregory XIII 1575 Holy Door Medal

Obviously not the same but it kind of reminds me of yours.

It's strange that the bust on yours is so off-center.

Not much detail on it and I would probably make it worse by cleaning it. Someone carried that for a long time, sorry they dropped it. Here in Miami there’s not a lot of old stuff to find unless it washes up on the beach. There weren’t a lot of people here until AC was invented. Thanks very much

My son said it might be Cyrillic script, could that be possibility? (Symbols above the pillars)

Thanks guys. Grasshopper that’s most probably the Holy Door on the back and Antonius (died 1459 when Columbus was a boy) on the front. It’s going in my jar of strange finds.
