🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Please help me find more about what seems to be a rare 3-piece tea set…

This gold, burgundy, cream and some dots of a darker green 3 piece tea set has Germany on the bottom of it and also the letter “B” that seems to be either in a diamond or star. I found something close to it on the internet but it had a like color pink in it and the “B” was different. After reading a little more about markings that particular tea set was fake because the “B” was straight up & down. The real ones look like mine.
But I would love to know it’s worth? So if anyone knows anything about it, please let me know. Thank you so much!

It'll be hard to say what it might be worth, unless you are able to find some recent recorded sales. That might give you an idea of possible value. It is pretty fancy, but antique china, just seems so limited these days of serous collectors who might be eager to have such a set.

It seems to be a mark that has a ? for an answer.
I have seen the mark decades ago and if I peeled off 4 decades of mind clutter I might of had a better answer.
I would of classified this as a chocolate pot set, instead of a tea set.
Could be a generic maker's mark that was used between the 2 great wars.

It seems that this query has the main Google search attention-but no real answer either.

It could very well be a chocolate pot. However, the height of the large pot makes me feel it is a coffee serving set: with coffee carafe, cream dispenser and sugar bowl. Good luck!

There’s a less ornate set (said to be a tea set, although I would say it’s a coffee set) with the same mark at the Etsy listing below. Said to be 1920s and priced at the equivalent of around $50 (USD).

Note that anything marked “Germany” in English will have been made for export. Goods sent to America were required by the McKinley Tariff Act to carry country of origin marks in English from March 1891 onwards. The Act was amended in 1914 requiring the addition of the words “Made in…” (or an equivalent term), although this was not fully enforced until around 1921. Obviously, there were no exports to the US from Germany during the WWI years, so it’s likely either 1890s to 1916-ish or immediately post-WWI. My guess would be the latter, as suggested by the Etsy seller.

I would also think it's a generic workshop mark, or an agent's/wholesaler's mark rather than a specific maker, possibly with the 'B' relating to 'Bavaria' (just a guess).
