Found an old (circa 1880 to 1890) homesite that had some excavating done in the yard. While the home is still inhabited the sight of a new sewer line excavated through the yard got me a little wound up. Several piles of "old" dirt were piled in the yard. I had to go get permission and make a stab at it.
Found a couple of wheaties, a few clad coins, and then what I thought was a clad quarter. It came out covered in crud and crust. I could see it wasn't silver, so I tossed it in the bag. I also found the inside of a pocket watch.
When I cleaned the coin up, several days later. It came out very clean, and very asian.
