Polish or leave as is?

These were give to me by someone who had them in a closet for 20+ years. I would like to know what the first one is (agate?)and opinions on how or if to polish 1 side or leave as is. I'm also not sure what I should do with the crystals? Or maybe just clean them up. I would love any suggestions.
