poss brooch?

Hi , found this the other night didnt seem much , but after cleaning it came up like this, looks to me like a brooch, its solid silver, weighs about 3 grams pin and closure from rear are missing, as is photo (if there was one,) is a hallmark but haven t read it yet, its a pretty thing tho, photos show front and rear.....can anyone shed any more light ? cheers Russ. Thanks Terry me and computers dont gel very well, now give me a fishing rod or plastering trowel and .......

Yeap a brooch that may have held a coin. A close up of the hallmarks would nail the date, but looks 1900 give or take??
