✅ SOLVED Possible CW relic?

Have no clue what this could be. Gave a pretty high signal on 3030. Very little modern trash. Most items recovered from area is from Civil War. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and happy hunting.

Solved it myself after posting. It’s the handle end to a 1840 Dragoon Sabre. Found in Howard Crouch’s Civil War Artifacts book.
